The basic form of Aron references a traditional ship lamp, and its manufacture is also rooted in tradition. It is created through metal spinning: shaping a flat disc of metal on a mold, a method first used in ancient China.
The three different widths of the lamps offer various levels of diffusion. For focused light, choose Aron 401. For a broader circle of light, opt for the Aron 581 (sold out) or Aron 701.
The glass cylinder containing the light bulb is frosted – it won’t hurt your eyes to gaze at the Aron.
“My method is both technical and intuitive. With some intelligence and a little ignorance we might be able to realize what we wish for.”
