The Van Doesburg House recently acquired three Functionals products—the Wendela chair and Lloyd table and bench. The modernist landmark, located in a suburb of Paris, is the only architectural work of Theo Van Doesburg (1883-1931), the Dutch artist, designer, critic, and writer who co-founded the De Stijl art movement and was its greatest ambassador. We are proud to be in residence.
It’s Fair Season! Functionals will be showing at two of Europe’s most exciting furniture fairs this winter. Maison & Objet Paris 18-22 January 2019 Hall 6, stand K83 --- Stockholm Furniture Fair 5-9 February 2019 Hall B, stand 12.21
Why is this table named Kumpel (“pal” in English)? Because it has many of the characteristics of a great friend. It’s stable and dependable—the sturdy plywood top is covered with easy-to-clean and forgiving linoleum. It is also welcoming. The 80cm width is ideal for dinner with friends or meetings with colleagues, and the trestle bases were designed to maximize legroom. Available in three sizes, the Kumpel table is destined to be your best pal.€ 1.754,00
